2000 XJ IAC Problems

2000 XJ IAC Problems
My 2000 XJ has been having a problem where it will stall, or idle very low. I replaced my Idle Air Control valve last week, and it's still doing it. When I was removing the old IAC I might have damaged the rubber ring on the plug, could this be causing my problem? Thanks for any advice.
