2000 xj aw4 shifter replacement

2000 xj aw4 shifter replacement
just wondering if anyone has any video/pics of how to replace the shifter cable on my 2000 XJ. Specifically, how to remove the shift handle to get the bezel off. Thanks .

Getting the shifter handle off is the only part I can help you with. LOL.
Put it in first, grab it with both hands, and yank.
Be careful to not punch yourself in the face. MLOL.
There is little white plastic crown in the handle.
Hopefully you will not crack that.
20 year old brittle plastic and all.
Also the same for the sex toy looking thing that you will see still in the shifter when you remove the handle.
