hello everyone, i thought this was going to be a common issue but i haven't been able to dig up much useful information. my 4wd isn't working properly, (np231) it goes into both 4hi and low but the biggest issue is there is an incredible amount of drag, i can't get the car to go over about 20 mph even in 4hi. anyone else have this issue? I checked all the fluids I pulled the front dif cover to see if anything was mangled, everything looks good, no apparent wear. the other issue is a creeking sound as i turn, i did determine i need new front axel u joints and attribute that problem to them.

some good diagnostic procedures would be appreciated.
