Hey guys. I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4x4 that I am trying to rebuild and the wiring harness is a bit smashed. (See picture). Originally we were going to try to rewire the harness to the plug but the nature of the damage has made this all but impossible. No worries just buy a new harness. Problem is I’ve been searching almost a year for the full harness and cannot find one. Does anyone know if these cherokees have to use that exact harness with that exact part number or if there are any aftermarket options that might work. Part number on mine is p56041499ac. TIA for any advice.
So best I can tell from the part number is that you have a Federal Emissions '00.
Are we talking the engine harness that has one or two connectors to the PCM?
If it is the one with two to the best of my knowledge would have only been used in that year Jeep only.
If it were a CA Emissions pretty sure you would have the option of using one from an '00 or '01.
'99 or down won't work cause they have a distributor.
Now please keep in mind this is stuff I think I know.

But there are two separate harnesses in the engine compartment.
One has 2 connectors to the PCM on it with the fuel injector connectors, O2 sensor connectors, CPS connectors to name a few.
The other one only has one connector to the PCM but not sure what is on that one.
So back to my original question Federal Emissions XJ?
