Sounds alot like Death Wobble, but can this happened with stock XJ

Id check things like tires balanced, tire aligment, u-joints-ball-joints up\low

Also your steering damper( the shock on your front end)

ujoint in the front drive shaft

just remove it and go for a drive if you have no vibration with it out
then you need to rebuild the CV joint next to the TC and replac all the ujoints

Mine had the same thing I forgot the speeds it did it at, but sometime it would be so bad that the radio would skip.

Got the tires rotated and balanced, replaced the steering stabilizer and it is pretty much fixed. Everyone once in a while I will get it when coasting down from 60 to 55 and it is a very light wobble.

The guy at the tire factory said my rims were a little tweaked, but at every other speed my Cherokee drives true and straight. Also, I guess my balance was pretty bad, like 2.5oz's off or something?
