Guys I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic that has the check engine light.

I have tried to obtain the code by doing the on/off multiple times and it doesn't give me a code.

Am I doing something wrong? Does the 2000 still kick out the code that way?

I just took mine to an Advance yesterday. They have a complete diagnostics they will do for free and tell you the codes.
