2000 Jeep Cherokee
I just recently bought a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. The guy had papers where he just had a used transmission put in it. It keeps throwing code P0705. I cleared it twice but still keeps coming back. The jeep seems to shift fine and starts in park just fine. I did just try starting it in neutral but it will only start in park. Done check fluid and its full and looks clean. Also checked my fuses none was blown. Any suggestions what could be the issue and how to fix it?

Sounds like the NSS was bad on the used transmission or they installed it wrong or something. It will be on the passenger side under the jeep and easily visible. It could be misaligned or just need cleaned, go have a look, take some photos and report back!
