That is a sensor of some kind but I have not seen one with the metal tabs at the top like that.
Coolant temp sensor

There is not a GLUG valve on a cherokee. Therefore they made up a bs number to charge you for parts.

This is exactly why I will not take my vehicles to any shop evvverr.

I don't know if you are serious or trolling at this point. I guess not but you got to know you're getting ripped off.

Trolling? Not sure what that is but with all of the stuff you guys are saying it sounds like this guy is a fraud and screwing kids out of their hard earned money and someone needs to do something about it and I'll most likely take legal action instead of fighting with this a**hole back and forth

Why are you posting thumbs up and thumbs down crap in this thread? Don't post if all you have is a thread symbol smiley face bs.

I would definitely look at legal options. Take your jeep to another shop for a different opinion if you don't know what you're doing. Next time get quotes from multiple shops before getting a repair.

Quote: Ok so I drove over there after my shift and demanded so see what could of costed me all this money and to my surprise he still had the old part so I'm glad all of this came to an end and I know I didn't get screwed I asked about the labor charge and he said things were rusty and hard to get which explains the high labor charge i kept the old part Attachment 238270
This ain't the end....

Did he explain WTF a Glug Valve was, and why he called it that?

That is not a Jeep part mate, unless it's a busted up ECT sensor he dug out of his trash. $50 at the most from the local parts stores.

Check to see if this **** orifice is registered with the BBB in your area.

Report his sorry ****. Or hire a couple brothers to pay him a visit.

I hate to see peeps get raped. Where is this dud located? I might even buy a plane ticket and fly there just to kick his ****.

How many O2 sensors have you ever seen? None, if I were to speculate.

And TurboXJ makes irrelevant posts? Sheesh.

100s Just saying they always had wires coming out the top. >.>

I figured it was a fed up o2 sensor but it seemed kind of big in the picture plus it's brass now that I can see it on a computer instead of my phone.

I'd like to think I have helped a few people on here.

And he should of caught the "glug" valve if he's got 6000 posts instead of posting thumbs up to a $2300 repair bill. That's ignorant.

O2 sensors are not brass and don't have pipe threads.
