What the heck are the glug valve and the O2 sensor vaporizer?
I'm guessing this is a joke.

Quote: It was pretty pricey the mechanic who fixed it charged $2300!! That's almost what the car is worth I'm just glad it's running right again
"Glug Valve". Is that anything like a Flux Capacitor? LOL

$2,300!? I hope he at least gave you a reacharound on that one.

Pic is too small but I copied it and zoomed in on it. I did see the glug valve and O2 Vaporizer mentioned.

What country are you in? Odd names for everything.

This Glug Valve sounds like the Catalytic Converter and the O2 Vaporizer Circuit is the PCM fuel trim circuit.

Get ahold of this ***** and demand an explanation of what a "Glug Valve" is, and that you want the old parts back.

Cancel the charge if you paid with a card! That shop is totally bending you over. No valve or o2 sensor or exhaust anything would be anywhere near $2300. You could buy a whole new cherokee for that.

Sure looks that way. 02 sensors have a heater built in. If part of the heaters function is to "vaporize" any condensate, may be how he came up with that one! My (single), 02 sensor is about $70 and can be changed in a few minutes. "Glug" is ether a typo, or just plane BS.

I'd be curious how you go about reporting fraud in your state. (If I were you).

Ok so I drove over there after my shift and demanded so see what could of costed me all this money and to my surprise he still had the old part so I'm glad all of this came to an end and I know I didn't get screwed I asked about the labor charge and he said things were rusty and hard to get which explains the high labor charge i kept the old part Name: coolant temp sensor lol.jpg

No it really does not. $1700 even a $100/hour labor (super high) is over 10 hours of work.
The shop said that put parts on that don't exist on a cherokee. What did they point out as the o2 vaporizer thing? Do they mean 02 sensor??? If so your getting taken big time.
