My 2-door is a 94 and the seat back is bent on the drivers side. Its strange how it would bend like that, its almost as if someone took a running start and smashed into the side. Went to the junkyard and was lucky enough to find (4) 2-doors but all of them were broken too in the same way.. i need some help as it really hurts my back and I need to fix it

 

you found 4 2 doors ? I need the guts for a manual window and it's impossible to find.

 

I was reading that wondering why the hell you would need a 2dr XJ seat... wait for it... oooooh. They go forward to let people in. Lol

You could possibly get a 4dr xj front seat and swap the actual seat over and reuse your brackets. You'd have to disassemble a seat though and I'm not sure if what let's it slide forward is welded I'm there or not. Just a thought though.

 

Get in the back seat, brace yourself, and push against the seat back with your legs and feet until it is straight.

Get your girlfriend to help. When you're done, well, you're already in the back seat with her.

 

Yeah, I was quite surprised myself, one was a red Sport, one a black Sport identical to mine, one a red stripper model, and an unusual Luxury stripper model... had Limited appointments like gold emblems and trim and wood grain dash, but manual windows and standard jeep steel wheels.

I would be willing to pick up the part (all the two doors had cranks) just pm me and I'll grab it... parts are cheap but cars get flipped quick, just pay for shipping and a little for my time

 

I did just that and realized my foam is worn past the metal support... I really like the Laredo's interior, I may swap seat covers and foam for nicer fabric, though I like my herringbone seats, they are just a dirty mess and my rear bench is also bent funny. The seat tipsforward only, just a hook with lever near the top... looks easy to tear a part, I may purchase a seat to try this out

 

Lol my wife might not approve of a girlfriend, but shes cooler than anyone else... she may not help repair, but she'd join me once I'm through
