haha.
thanks.
I just had my new OME long travel shocks installed today... since the shop had a ramp, I wanted to check brake lines and control arm bind.
Both were fine.
My old OME shocks were the standard 2" lift units, and had over 100k miles on them... all 4 were leaking bad, and, once off the truck I checked them and the had large dead spots.
New shocks sure make the rig ride nice again... forgot how nice it rode... new shocks are awesome. The long travel sure added a bunch of droop.
thanks.

Thanks for the compliments.
Here is a picture of it on 31's before fender trimming...

the suspension is unchanged from that photo to the one above.
FWIW, I've measured from the top of the axle to the 'frame' rail pre the owners manual.
The 33" tires, trimed fenders and belly up sure do make it look lifted higher.

nice flex, but no way that's a 980
how did you measure it? what degree is that ramp?
i have a longarm with 36's and on a 23 degree ramp i only get a 760 and i'm up the ramp further.

That is a 23* ramp.
I measured vertical distance from pavement to tire/ramp slope interface 34".
(did center line perpendicular to ramp thru center of hub, from that point I measured straight down.) then did math on 34" and 20* to calc. hypotenuse length had it been 20*vs23*
your 760 would conver to 868 on a 20* ramp... but you say you are way further up...
i'm gonna have to stop by tomorrow and remeasure...

I like the desert rather well.
Phoenix is an odd city... I neither love nor hate it.
Arizona is a good place if you like wheeling... lots of trails still open to the public.
