Thanks CodeXJ, but I was looking for a technical answer since many automatics including the newer jeeps can be towed in nuetral without disconnecting the drive shaft. I'm looking for something to pull behind my moterhome and have found this Cherokee. I dont want to buy anything that I have to drop the drive shaft on.

If you are just going a few miles you'll be okay. Otherwise, you risk trans damage, since the pump isn't running... I towed a van about 100 miles a while back. I didn't feel like pulling the drive shaft, so I just started the van, let it run in neutral the whole way, with no issues... Didn't care about burning the gas, since I needed the tank empty on it anyway.
