Default 1999 cherokee limited o2 issue

Somehow the plug that my o2 sensor plugs into got caught in the driveline or something it's toast. Does anybody know what this plug is called or where I could find one? (Ya I'm a girl, deal with it)

hey, props to you for being a girl! That's awesome! You should be able to google up "Jeep Cherokee XJ O2 sensor" and I'm sure you'll find something!

And if you need the male end of the plug.. Just splice in a completely new male/female connection! Just make sure it can handle 12 volts.

There are (2) o2 sensors on your 1999 like mine and it sounds like you may have destroyed the wire along with connector. Splicing wirers like this ones can have a negative effect with voltages and this isn't a place where you want that. Call AutoZone and see if they carry them now you know what it is. It might be a good idea to replace the sensor as well while your at it.

If your having the work done at a shop make sure that they run the wire properly so the same thing doesn't"t happen again. This is an easy repair and the cost for labor should not be very high but always check first, I do.
