Default 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport Coolant Leak

Hello,

My 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport (4.0 Engine 2WD) started leaking coolant from my passenger side. I have seen some near my right head light and jus ta out everywhere under that part of the hood. Anyone know why or have some solutions? Also I just replace my serpentine belt and now when I drive with the ac running, it screams it me. If you have any ideas please let me know!

WELCOME

When my radiator gave up the ghost awhile back it split on the passenger side. Had coolant showing where yours is. Check everything though.

Belt's probably not tight enough:

Yes, check the plastic portion of the radiator. If you can't obviously see a leak, "rent" a radiator pressure tester from Autozone. This allows you to pressurize the system with the engine off to better look and listen for a leak.

For the belt, most likely you didn't tighten it enough. Those suckers need to be super tight on there.

+1. My radiator failed on the passenger side plastic as well. It failed catastrophically though, so I didn't have any problem finding the crack.
