Default 1998 cherokee xj 4.0 cranking problem
I have a 1998 jeep cherokee xj having trouble starting it have to press on the gas to start it.if not it will just crank.plugs,wire,distributor cap and crank shaft sensor changed .any input would be appreciated

What happens if you put the jeep in the on position for a few seconds before cranking? Do this 2-3 times before actually cranking, Many of our check valves are bad and this is what we have to do.
