Default 1998 cherokee ignition problems

I have been pulling my hair out tring to figure this out. 1998 cherokee sport ,4.0. Most of the time it runs good but i keep getting missifre codes every so often no big deal. Here recently it has left me stranded 4 times. will be fine go somewhere kill it try to crank right back and it will turn over but will not crankup. New 130a alt, coil, plugs, wires, cap, rotor. fuel pressure is fine. tps is good. map is new. cps is a year old. o2 sensors are good. cat is new. all injectors are firing.

any help would be appreciated. I thank yall in advance,
Todd

If you are pulling your hair out, those misfire codes ARE a big deal, and should be resolved before you go bald.

I agree with the conversation: I would highly suspect a CPS bought from El Cheapo Junk Parts Store, and take a closer look at the spark plugs. Failure of either one will cause a no-start condition.

NGK or Champion Copper spark plugs seem to work best, as well as OEM CPS units. I've seen others install cheap, aftermarket parts, only to spend the next year tearing their hair out trying to figure out why the darned thing won't run right.

Look for horses, not Zebras. Suspect that which has been recently noodled with. Are any codes stored? It takes a LOT to keep a Jeep from firing. Pull each plug wire and check with an ohmeter. What type of plugs are you using? Are they fouled or shorted/misgapped?

I havent got my missfire code lately. The past few times it did this no missfire before. just drivin fine then when i try to restart nothing. It dont even have to warm up. Plugs champion copper, from the rotor to the plugs are all good. Have fuel pressure. The last cps had thermal failure. It hasn't died while driving. Could the cps cause missfire?
