I'm cleaning this beast up and took a look at the fuse box (inside the cabin, not the engine one). I saw some missing fuses and found a few diagrams that are supposedly the right one. BUT.. Fuses 10 and 18 are missing.

10 is supposed to be for transmission range sensor, duty cycle evap/purge solenoid, radiator fan relay, ac clutch, o2 sensor, & back up lamp switch.. and my back up lights work ( A/C is out so can't use that as a test), not sure about the rest.

18 is supposed to be for power mirror switch & power window/lock switch and that's working too..

Thoughts?

 

Where'd you find the diagrams? If they were taken from Chilton's or Haynes manuals, ignore them. They are garbage.

 

My FSM shows those 2 slots empty.

 

Cool.. so I guess I have 5 total empty slots. I went looking some more and found another diagram that breaks some of the slots down by year, and it shows 10 & 18 are empty for a 97 like was said above. Thanks

While it's mostly Renix (87-90) XJs, you'll find good info on yours there as well.

 

Any chance your fuse box looks like this? Mine's a '96, and the internet search results are confusing me.
