Should only cost you a new thermostat gasket and/or some blue RTV, depending on how you wanna seal up the thermostat housing after the block flush.

However, you should be able to see at least 'some' gunk come out of the radiator if you do a quick flush on that to confirm gunk build up is the issue before flushing the block.

Hope this helps!

ill give that a shot, thanks!

Default Tried flushing

Well I tried flushing it this weekend, even bought one of those funnel kits that attach to the radiator cap to burp out all the air when I re filled and it's still steadily creeping past 210. I might just end up taking it to a shop, I can't think of anything else to try.

Did you change radiator cap? Is it building pressure in the cooling system?

Too soon to give up, friend. Sometimes you have to peel the onion.

What's that mean? Take one problem at a time. Layer by layer, you peel back the problems. Once you have one solved the others become easier. One step at a time.

Let's test that electric fan. Run 12v from the battery straight to the fan. Make a couple jumper wire that you can run over there, disconnect the fan connector (it's over near the fan) and run the 12v straight into the fan connector. Don't worry about polarity - you won't hurt it. Try it both ways. Let's see if it spins.

If it doesn't, replace the fan and then see what happens to your temps.

Compression then cooling system pressure test, you can borrow both gizmos from Vatozone.
