Unhappy 1997 Cherokee won't shift HELP!

I have a 1997 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 inline 6 automatic. Recently I had the check engine light come on, The codes that it gave me were 12 72 and 55. I have no power going up a hill, it will not rev over 2000 rpm, I have barely any play in the gas peddle and when it does shift it shifts hard. Very occasionally it is difficult to start, it will sputter and flood and then start. I am in need of help! Please

Sounds like you have a few issues.. Fuel pump and TPS.

I cleaned the TPS, but do not know how to test it. Fuel pressure is good. I checked for a vacuum leak and could not find one...

Tested the TPS, it's working. Is there a sensor in the transmission that may not be working?

Have your battery tested. With the exception of NAPA, the chain auto parts stores will test it for free. A bad battery can cause all kinds of problems.
