So i have a 96 xj that i bought with a blown motor(hole in the block) that I am staring to build. I ended up with a 4.0 from a tj for basically free that I was going to go thru and rebuild. After doing some research Im not sure it will work due mount and accessory issues. The old motor has not been pulled yet but before i go any further was wondering if anyone has tried this before. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

 

should be the same engine mount locations, the accessories may be in different locations but you should be able to swap over the mounts from the old one
