OK I fit a new 136amp alternator with no change! seems my voltmeter on the dash isnt acurate. I have just orderd an new fuel pump, 8mm leads rotor button and cap 6 denso iridium spark plugs a set of presicion injectors and i also have a 2000 model intake and throttle spacer. Im fitting an A9X Torana bonnet scoop(of an aussie muscle car) this will cut a huge hole in the hood alowing the hot air to flow while slow offroading. Soon to be fitting a home made high flow snorkel and possably ceramic coating the headers. Im hoping for a smooth running cool engine in any conditions and if all this fails I'm burning the BASTERD!!

OK Its all fixed, I got a pump from fellow member"thexfiles" and my car is back to normal, the fuel pressure is up the car has full acceleration and all my gauges including the voltmeter is back to normal! must have had a small short in the pump or maybe fuel level circuit. woohooo

everything now reads correct, i never noticed if the temp moved when it sputterd. I dont believe i have an accurate reading on my temp anyway because the Aussie jeeps have a gauge in celcius and mine sits on 100-105c all day long which is way to hot and 120C is red and if mine goes into red its still not boiling or running rough? i might put an after market one in. I believe either the pump or sender unit had some type of short in it which was drawing all the current but not blowing a fuse? even my oil pressure was bellow 3Bar and is now back up to 3.5 and i even when full my gas tank would only read 3/4. My voltmeter would sit around 12v and get lower with every accesorie like A/C and lights it would drop down to almost 9 and now it sits just under 14V and with all accessories bearly moves. It was 33celsius yesturday and 80% humidity i idled the car with A/C on for 20 minutes after driving the car 25 mins to pick my daughter up from school and it never missed a beat! I believe that the short could have been dropping the current and voltage enough to cause a missfire when the fuel was at its hottest and turning on accesories just made the problem worse this was also its worst at idle but was drivable at higher revs so the alternator could just keep up, so happy to have finaly fixed my Jeep! I love you again Jeep!
