I have the same Pioneer DEH-11E Deck in my 1993 Cherokee Country...
Installed it a month ago but lucky I already had the aftermarket wiring from my old pioneer deck that was in it so all I had to do is cut wires and color match with the previous wires. Its a great deck by the way! Sounds great with my Pioneer Speakers... Cant wait to hear my Alpine Type-R dual ohm 10" Sub my lady got me for Christmas
Hope you find out how to do the install with stock wiring.. Good Luck!

I always run after market headunits directly off the battery. Also replace the factory speaker wire with new 16ga. ( one piece, no splices. Factory speaker wire has a tendency to be 18ga. And no telling how many splices the have in it.) I usually replace the factory speakers also. because they sound so bad. Although I love Pioneer Headunits, I don't like their speakers. Currently I'm running a Pioneer DEH-90HDD headunit, Two 5 1/4" in the front doors, Two 6x9's in the rear hatch. ( Used a router to open up the fiber glass panel in the hatch, to accommodate the 6x9's) 1 10" Sub in the back passenger side pocket. (All speakers are Rockford-fosgate) With a Pyle 1400 watt 5 channel amp. running every thing. Sound like a freakin' concert hall.

Well I need this to be as simple as possible, so the more rewiring I have to do, the less ideal it is for me. I'm not trying to build a nice sound system or anything, it's just that my stock deck doesn't have a cd player, or AUX input, the cassette player just spits cassettes in and out forever, and the radio will go static after a few seconds on some stations, no matter where I am.

So I'm going to take a crack at this, to see if I've got it all down.

That's my deck with the power cable in it. I need to buy a wire harness***, which will connect to the car's stock harness. The wire harness package will come with two cables. This is where I get lost. How do I connect the car's cables to the harness to my car? What needs to be soldered, what ends of these cables need to be matched up with which parts?

Thanks a lot guys

I already looked at pricing yesterday. It's $50 and I guess that includes the price of the wire harness. I went ahead and bought that today though.

I'd really like to save myself $30 if possible.

@matt82: Thanks buddy, 'preciate it.

I tried to save you a little effort, as well as get some first-hand experience, so I began messing with the dash on my jeep.

I unscrewed the two screws at the top of the speedometer, odometer, etc window, and pulled the plastic faceplate out of all the corners...I just can't get it over the steering wheel. It seems to be the little plastic encasing around the windshield wiper and blinker handles. At the bottom of that encasing is a little torx screw, so I figured that was holding the encasing together...nope. I unscrewed that and nothing changed.

Anyone know what I'm missing?

hmmm?? not sure mine just pops out after you take the scres out...have to wiggle it out from the bottom (by the steering wheel) first but it should come out. Steering column has a slight lip on it and you have to nudge it (carefully I might add) over the lip....asuming your column is the same as mine

Do you have the steering wheel leaned at the highest, or lowest position? And do you pull out the bottom first or last?

Time for round 2

EDIT: Nevermind, got it. Had to be a little rough but no problem

Alright so here I am.

And once again, lost as to what needs to be soldered to what. I have plenty of pictures though (most clearer than this one), if you need a better look at the wires.

In order from left to right (same orientation as the picture):

Yellow
Red
Orange and white striped
orange
grey and black striped white
black striped
brown

As for the right one

Blue
green
purple
white
grey
green with black stripe
purple with black stripe

Though the diagram/color coding on the back of the package doesn't show anything for Orange and white. Orange is labeled as "illumination/dimmer", so would I just leave the orange and white wire untouched?

And I'm on Sprint right now. I got a new phone for Christmas, the Palm Pre. It just hasn't shipped in yet, so I'm stuck with this crappy Samsung Ace.
