Default 1996 XJ 2.5 petrol idle very low!!

Hi all.
Got a little problem on my XJ 2.5 petrol, it idles very low and almost cuts out, it happened after the battery died, then came back to life again, no thanks to a loose terminal! is there an easy fix to this? or a trick to get it working again?

Also anyway I can remove the Chrysler alarm system but keep the remote locking system??

CAN ANYONE HELP ME!! Been bugging me for ages!

Catch you guys later!

Giuseppe

Ive checked all that, Ive heard that the 4.0 has the same issue if battery died and looses its idle speed.
