Default 1996 Jeep Cherokee O2S wire arced while running, it cut off, won't start back up

1996 Jeep Cherokee Classic Inline6, It's was/is having the usual common problem of occasionally stalling or dying, would have to wait 20mins before it would restart and would do it several times through out the day. So tried typical things to fix it like changing the thermostat, thinking it might be getting hot. Helped but no cigar, decided to check out the O2 Sensors, seen one was spot welded in (The 02S Spot Welded in will be abbreviated to O2S SW for the rest of post) so I discouragely went on to the other sensor and seen the wires were bare and touching, so I wrapped them best as can. And it idled better and drove okay for a couple weeks but then started trying to stall and die again but not as bad as it was, typically would only do it once or twice a day randomly. Anyways (Forgetting about the 02S SW) I decided to check out the supposedly new fuel pump that was installed by the previous owner and make sure the filter is clean, seemed fine, reinstalled and noticed it didn't have the right gage fuel line so I installed a new fuel line. Started the Jeep and checked to make sure I installed properly with no leaks. And I notice the 02S SW wires look raggedy so I touch the wires to get a better idea how bad they are. I notice 2 things instantly,. 1st, I realized that some of the wires only looked wrapped, but were actually bare somewhat and could tell someone jerry rigged them, and would notice webbed sparks, every once in a while, shooting out from them,. and 2nd, as I was touching them investigating this mess, I must have moved them a certain way bc it started to idle really well and go bad once I let them go. . I shut it off and It was such a mess I decided to just cut the wires and resplice them. Anyways, I resplice them and start the vehicle, and its starts idling choppy so thinking about how good it idled when I moved the wires before, so I move them like before. Nothing changes. So now I'm thinking maybe I respliced them wrong, (Now this is where I turn into a big dumb dumb, bc I know better) [Should have turned the vehicle back off, unhook the battery, especially when messing with anything electrical] Anyways while the vehicle was running, thinking I would hear a good difference in the idle, I unsplice a wire. With the 2 wire ends hanging, I go carefully go on to another wire to unsplice them and switch them out and as I do, I accidentally bumped one of the bare end wires, and don't know if it arced to the chassis or one of the other wires but I know it arced. The vehicle instantly shut down, and won't start. Will turn over, but nothing else. Scared I might have fried the ECM/ECU

I've checked the fuses and nothing blown, checked the coil and it's not getting juice, so I changed the ASD Relay, and nothing. Changed Map Sensor and nothing. Well now I'm thinking maybe I really did fry the ECM/ECU. And bought another and installed it. (With the battery disconnected) and nothing. I'm about to try a EFI Relay or Crank Sensor. If anyone can give any input, it would be much appreciated. Sorry for the long post but wanted everyone to know what all has been checked and what not

Crank sensor or it's wiring sounds mostly likely for your original problem. Was the O2 wiring hanging too close to the exhaust manifold and melted? Are those wires still shorted?

Stop blindly buying parts and do some troubleshooting with a multimeter. No power to the coil sounds like a blow fuse somewhere. You checked all the ones under the hood and under the dash? Do you have power to the fuel injectors with the key on? Do you have spark? Are the grounds on the passenger side of the engine block where they all go under a bolt by the dipstick in good shape and not melted?

I didn't bother. I'm not going to invest EXTRA effort to decipher a post, and then provide my time and knowledge for free, for someone who is too lazy to make the effort to make his posting readable.
