thank you. I did a compression test and I think I found the issue. Now, I need to figure out where is the leak. 😂 I’m no mechanic. Just trying to fix the Jeep. 😁

1,2,3,4,5,6 spark plugs 3 and 4 are the ones with 40 psi. Compression.

Yeah, that one's done. Stick a fork in it.

Might be a head gasket, blown out between those two cylinders, but even so, that 120 is also Not Good.

Squirt some oil into the cylinders and repeat compression testing to see what the rings do, especially #1.

Then yank the head off and inspect the valves (they'll be visually burned, or pour some gas into the chamber and see if it holds) and head gasket.

Ok, I did the oil trick and the #’s stayed the same. I guess it’s time to pull the head.

That could be good news in that the low/inconsistent compression readings may be exclusively a head/head gasket issue.

Look on the manifold side of the head. There is a casting number there. It should be 0630, but see if it's 0331. A 3-4 cylinder issue is very common in the 0331, let's see if somewhere along the line line some work was done.

When you take the head off, remove the bolts in proper (reverse) order, noting the torque. Examine the head gasket to see if it's OEM or Chang's Head Gasket Co.

I wanted to make sure I have an update on my Jeep. The head gasket was the problem. Thanks to everyone that helped out.
