1996 Cherokee misfire all cylinders
Sorry if this is a repeat post but I haven't been able to fine anything in the forums.
Anyway 96 cherokee codes showing p0300, p0301, p0302, p0303, p0304, p0305, and p0306. Sometimes hardship to start. Once started it idles great, as soon as I give it gas it is the worst idle I've ever felt, and it will backfire alot. I have replaced all the basics, plugs, wires, distributior, and cap, rotor button, crank position sensor (the one on top of the transmission near the fly wheel) and MAP sensor. After all that was finished I still had some codes. So I was out of ideas. Took it to the local shop they wasn't sure either. They tested compression, fuel pressure, and timing. They said it could be the ECM, but didn't want to tell me that charge me alot of money and that not be the problem. So I replaced it with a remaned and still same issues. Then I caught word that it could be the O2 sensors. I haven't replaced them yet (waiting on payday). Given mine has only 1 o2 sensor because the cat was plugged where that sensor goes. Took it back to the shop and they went through it again and said it would be a wiring problem. Anyone with any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
