1995 xj cooling
Installed a larger capacity radiator years ago (ccs?) and had no issues. Recently started running hot. I fixed some leaks, lower radiator hose, cheap Chinese water pump, heater control valve. Now it runs cool however it pukes small amount of coolent from radiator cap. Changed cap, stant 13lbs and it didnt help. Any ideas? This is a stock 95 xJ country. THANKS!

You can use any cap you want, it depends on what you want your boiling point to be. If you have no worries at 13 keep using it, but a 16 will increase your boiling point to about 250 degrees w/ a 50-50 mix.

How was the area around where the cap seats when you replaced the cap? Also, maybe there is still air in the system. That would be my guess of "puking" from the radiator around the cap.

It might be worthwhile to do a check for exhaust gases in the coolant in case you have a head gasket issue. The earlier you catch and correct that kind of stuff - the better (and cheaper) the outcome.

It does have overflow hose tank but coolant comes out at cap. Tried 3 caps, all 13lbs. I think air is out of system, burped it. It doesnt act like head gasket, runs good, has power. Thanks for the suggestions!

Post a photograph of the cap from the bottom (and top because might as well) and a photograph of the area inside of the radiator where the cap seats.
You can rent a pressure tester for the coolant system. If it still comes from the radiator around where the cap meets, then the radiator must be defective in that area. Since it is plastic, then there isn't really a fix for cracks or groove et cetera.

The radiator I installed is metal. Looking at it I think it's a fit issue. The radiator seems a bit misshapen where the cap attaches. Not sure how to proceed. Thanks again for help. My xJ is a little beat but I really enjoy driving it!

Since it is metal, then give it all a bit of light sanding.
i don't see any problem at the bottom seating. It looks like the top is ****ed a bit. If you can bend that into a flatter surface so that the top gasket seats well, then that may be your ticket to ride.
This may be a case when a radiator shop can help. You may try a doubling the gasket for the top seat with one from a previous cap since you have tried three caps. An extra gasket may or may solve an issue of uneven fitment.
As far as below I would imagine that everything is in order. When the fluid heats to a pressure more than the cap's spring, then it lifts the cap and escapes the first gasket. It is supposed to flow thru the opening to the overflow reservoir, but if there is an escape hatch an inch above, then that will be a method of travel for an heated gas/fluid to escape.
