I have a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 5.2L V8 that my wife drove to town. She parked it and when she came back out it would not start. She would turn the key but no attempt to start. Tried jumping thinking weak battery. Did not work. Had Jeep towed home. Had replaced the starter in February of this year and the battery lat November 2011. Pulled the starter and had it checked and it is fine. Pulled the battery out and replaced it with a battery from another vehicle and still would not start. No Activity from starter at all. The issue is not security related to my knowledge as the headlights do not flash. Locked and unlocked both doos and hatch just to play it safe. Even tried puting the Jeep in Neutral and tried to start with no luck. The only thing I can think is somethng in the starter\battery\alternator cable harness.

Update: I have replaced the Battery to Starter cable and it still will not turn over.

Any thought on this? I am at a total loss as to what it could be. I would appreciate any feedback.

Update: The Jeep is back on the road. The problem was the Neutral Safety Switch Rubber grommet and wire had hardened up and popped off of the Neutral Safety Switch. Replaced the wire and connector and the jeep started without any issue.
