1993 Slave cylinder problem
I've been trying for a few days now to find a new slave cylinder for my 1993 4.0 4wd 5 speed sport, to no avail! I've seen some online that look like external slaves and some that look like internal. I believe I have an internal since the bleeding screw and hydraulic line from the master disappear into the side of my tranny. I guess what I'm asking is, where do you guys go to get parts(such as clutch replacement parts)? I've found some for 70 bucks and some for 170, and I don't want to purchase the wrong thing and find out about it after I've dropped my tranny.
Also, if the slave were to blow out (as I've suspected mine of doing) is there any reason why the piston in the master wouldn't reset itself? I pulled the master off of the firewall and the piston that gets pushed when the pedal is depressed is stuck all the way in the inward postion. Could this master be toasted as well?
Thanks for any and all advice, I want my new(to me) baby back on the road asap.
