same problem.....on 92 Cherokee Laredo
I am having same problems. It started out with the 30a circuit breaker getting extremely hot. I pulled the circuit breaker from the fuse box, let it cool down and plugged it back in....The it sparked! I have checked the fuses, relays, and alot of the wiring. I did a continuity test and found that I have a positive wire grounding somewhere. Most of the Battery connections on the fuse block show continuity with the chassis ground. Any suggestions would be great!

intermiten setting on the wipers im not sure but everything else is explained by fuse number 9 dont just test it's continuity because it wont work pull it out and inspect it also look at 7 and 8

ok for the wipers start by remove the inline circuit breaker near fuseblock
turn ignition switch ON.
Measure voltage at the battery side of breaker.that should give you battery voltage if not check the wiring from ignition switch.
Measure resistance across circuit breaker terminals. (in you get continuity) it should be zero ohms. If not ok, replace the circuit breaker.

94 Cherokee Electrical Issue - Door Locks, Dome & Illuminated Entry Lights, Stereo
Now I know why they always tell you to disconnector neg battery cable as step 1. Was replacing headliner and using screwdriver to remove fasteners that secure dome housing and light went out. Later figured out that door locks and stereo also now don't work. Seems everything that is in the under dash relay block it out. All fuses are good. Wiring in fuse block is not per owners manual - have red wire in fuse location 16 instead of 20 A mini fuse. I have owned since new, so never altered.
Does anyone know if the relay block has an in line fuse that is not obvious to access?
Any other suggestions to trouble shoot?
Thanks in advance.
