Question 1993 AX15 apart, are these bad syncros?

Hello! Please I need some help, this is my first post on a forum so I hope I'm doing this right. I bought a 1993 5-speed Cherokee Sport that's a project. The previous owner told me that the transmission is stuck in 3rd gear and can't get it to move with the engine on or off. So I did some research on the web and a lot of the sites said bad syncro rings and to rebuild. So I dropped the trans and opened everything up. My question is can anyone that's rebuilt the AX15 before tell me if these syncro rings are bad? This is my very first transmission project. So I do not have a clue what bad or good rings would be? Any help, advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You have a busted gear in the first picture. Or is that just a shadow?

Wow, can't believe I didn't see that before.. Long day. Would that gear prevent the transmission from shifting out of third? Do you think that's the issue?

Compare the cost of rebuilding to buying a used transmission and go with the one that saves the most money and time.
