1992 Jeep 4.0 no spark
Dear Forum,
1992 Jeep 4.0 no spark.
Jeep turns over fine, has fuel pressure but no spark. I checked the Auto Shut Off Relay power to coil circuit for continuity and it is good. I did not ever get power at the coil with KeyOnEngineOff. So figure it must show up when other things are alright. I put a new coil on anyway but still no spark. So my next thought was CPS. The factory service manual, page 8D-12, says to check pins A and B, "meter reading should be open (no resistance)." I always thought "open" meant not a complete circuit so infinite resistance. So I went the Haynes manual, page 6-20, it says to check pins B and C, "The meter should indicate no continuity (open)." At least I understand the Haynes manual but it says to check different pins. Any help would be appreciated. (Silly sensor cost $60 kind of pain to change too.)
