Default 1992 Cherokee Laredo door lock problem

I cant figure this one out. The power door locks on the 4 doors dont work, but the one on the hatch does. You can hear the actuators trying to lock or unlock, but they dont seem to have enough uummpphh! to make it happen. If you continually hit the switch from the drivers door, they seem to get weaker and weaker, and then stop altogether. Let it sit for a minute or so, and they try to work again, but just cant move the locks. Does anyone have any idea on how to even begin to troubleshoot this problem?

NathanJ, what kind of troubleshooting have you done? Have you checked the voltage to each and every actuator? Have you pulled the kick panel from the passenger side front and checked the wiring? Do all 4 doors TRY to unlock, but just dont seem to have enough "stuff" to move the locks?

This works follow his instructions to the tee. I did this on my 90 they work like a charm.
You may want to grease them to to give it a little extra go ( not that you should need it). Also if you don't understand those directions there are better ones else where just gotta do more searching. The guys name is Greg smith that might yield more results.

Well the write up for the relays is something that was already done FACTORY in my 1992. I had proper voltage going to all 4 doors, I didn't have a problem with the hatch actuator. I went to Pick and Pull and bought 4 used actuators for $15 each, and installed them. It sounds like Nolan Ryan hitting the catchers mitt with a 100 mph fast pitch when you lock or unlock the doors now. And life is good! Oh yeah...scored an overhead console AND a sound bar while at the JY....so I got lots to play with this weekend....good luck on your power locks everyone!

My 90 has it also or at least I'm assuming that's what the other two relays in the passenger kick panel are, either way mine work beautifully too. Glad to hear you found another way to get them to work though.

Pretty disappointed in your failure to use the search fiction on this forum. "...I guess cuz I am smart" And if you where that smart, you would stated in your posts. How you have already taken a volt meter to the drivers door (and other doors) verify that it was not the common problem of broken or lose wires in the doors or the rubber sleeve between door and body. All you did was prove that you where too lazy to do a search of the problem, that has been posted on here couple hundred times already.
