1992 Cherokee A/C problem
My 1992 Jeep Cherokee has a very strange problem with the a/c. When I start the Jeep cold the A/C clutch turns on just fine. No matter how hot it gets it will keep working no matter how many times I turn on or off the A/C. If I start the Jeep with the temp gauge above the 1/4 mark the A/C clutch gets no voltage from the relay and of course wont turn on. So long as I let the Jeep cool below the quarter mark before I start it again the A/C is fine. At first I thought it was a shim problem but no voltage to the pump. Then maybe a relay problem but relay tests fine. Checked fuses, wiring and so on. All OK. The last thing I did was disconnect the temp sensor and within a few seconds the A/C pump engages. My question is, is there anything between the sensor and the ECU that I can check or has my ECU gone bad? Thanks!!!
