I have a 1991 MJ that uses the 91-93 style long speedo gear. I am in need of a 39 tooth gear. Many of the long gears are discontinued, including the one I need.

Does anyone know if I can simply replace my sender with a 94-96 sender so that I can use the shorter gear? I assume they send the same type of signal, but don't know for sure. The transfer case housing is the same, so no issue there.

no one??

Does anyone know where I can get a 39 tooth 91-93 style long gear? That would solve my issue, too.

I found the early style gear in 39 teeth on Ebay. There are a few people selling used gears, but I found one shop that still has some new ones in stock.

The long gear was still used on the early electronic senders. I know 91 used the long gear and I think 92-93 may have as well.
