WVG91LAREDO

My Papaws '91 Cherokee Laredo had the electric overhead Temp/Compass console. It quit working years ago and no one around town will even look at it to try and repair it! I'm hoping since it does not have any power at all its just unplugged somehwere and that will solve the problem. So, it looks like I am on my own with this one and not familiar with Jeeps at all. For all I know there could be something unplugged, but I am not even sure where to look.
I have read enough on here that there is a Temperature sensor that is locate don the front bumper. My Papaw had a wreck and they replaced the front end so I don't know of they didn't replace whatever it may have plugged into and thats why it doesn't work or if something somewhere else was disconnected at the time of if it burnt out or a combination of things. Does anyone have any links, diagrams, or advice to try and fix this myself? Thanks!
