Default 1990 Laredo electrical

My dashlights stopped working, a week later my rear running lights stopped working. I checked dash ill. Fuse was OK. Couldn't fuse for rear running lights so checked all fuses marked lights or illumination, all OK.
According to the book both items are controlled by the headlight switch which I replaced. Tested the old switch, had no continuity on dash light circuit and rear running light circuit. Have continuity on those circuits on the new switch. I installed the new switch but still have no dash illumination and rear running lights. Is there a fuseable link in these circuits possibly and if so where would they be located??
All other circuits are fine except for the dir/temp display in the overhead console which comes and goes.

I appreciate any insights y'all may have.
