LOL.....no im not sad........but once it warms up it ussually runs fine for the day so i am just uncertian atm. The 02 sensor looked pretty old and is now replaced and i did notice a more steady idle as well as the idle jumping from 900 to 1100 rpm. Also the engine temp is not fluxuating as much as it did before i replaced the sensor so fingers are crossed that tommorrow morning will be a good jeep day!!! Thanks again everybody for all of ur help.....i hope to do the same on any issues i can on the forums.Originally Posted by freegdr

As it warms up the resistance in the wire can and does change.Originally Posted by mudakom
I am hoping that isnt the case........taking into cosideration that it only happens while warming up i am thinking a bad ground doesnt sound right. Obly because it shouldnt be dependant on engine temp. Thanks again firestorm
I had this problem on my '87. When you actually have the engine cool and running, open hood and wiggle every wire, connector etc. Especially those that get warm near the engine. I had bad grounds at the dipstick. I happened to move the wires and the engine died. Also, see if CPS is melted and shorting on the exhaust manifold. I had this too. Grounds grounds and grounds are issues on these old fellas.
