I have a 90 auto 4.0 cherokee sport n it has snorkal 3 inch lift and I went to local mud place n went through water mud n died n starter wouldn't work jus click tried jump 14 v didn't work how can I prevent new starter from wet I was thinkin silicone n gasket material ? Ideas apreciated

 

your new one should come with a guarntee.....therefore i wouldnt worry about it.

 

I don't know that there is any sure way to guard the starter from getting wet/muddy if you submerge it.

 

Spelling and grammar could possibly have saved it.
