1990 cherokee laredo fuel issues

My jeep is having fuel issues it takes a long time to start it and when I get it running it would idle fine then eventually die and when you try to drive it, it will put put then die, and if I was to spray gas by the fuel injecters it will idle higher what would cause this? Please help. It was low on pressure too.

What is the fuel pressure?

I don't remember but it was low.

Try replacing the fuel filter first, if not then it's probably the pump.

dude its ur fuel pump strainer being cloggedup.. wanna know how i know... I REPLACED IT AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP... TOLD YA I COULD DO IT FOR CHEAPER LOL

wait you said if u spray gas by the fuel injectors it would speed up, do u mean actually around the injector seals, if so, you had bad seals that is it, try replacing them and see where that gets you, its cheapest next to your fuel filter which you should replace anyway
