1990 cherokee a/c question

1990 cherokee a/c question
A 90 Cherokee with 4.0L AC compressor went bad so previous owner removed it and bought a shorter belt. It looks like the fan is turning the wrong way because of belt routing and needs to be changed but they don't offer a bypass pulley that I can find. I do not want to buy a compressor as they are $250 and this is just a spare vechile. Has anybody had this problem or have a solution, thanks in advance.
