1989 Limited 4x4. Hard/Jerky 2-3 shift
Hey guys! So my XJ has developed yet another problem. When the the engine/tranny is cold the 1-2 shift is fine and the 2-3 is has a little bit a thump to it. The warmer it gets the worse the 2-3 becomes. Now when it does shift into 3rd from 2nd when its up to temp there's a weird hesitation where it feels like something is binding up then it sort of thumps into gear. It gets harder the more aggressively you accelerate. I have adjusted the TV cable and it made absolutely no difference. Could it be the TPS? Or maybe a sticky solenoid? Any help would be appreciated.
