Hey,
So I have a 89 cherokee. A couple days ago I was driving her and all of the sudden she stalled on me. I tried to jump start it wouldn't work. After that failed I waited for my dad to come home because he's the technician. When we got to the car it started right up and i was able to driver her home.
After a looking and trying to figure out what it was that stalled my car, I replaced my battery. It worked for about half an hour and she gave up again. Long story short it happened again and again.
So what i did to the car is the following:
I took out the gas tank to see if it was rusty. Turned out it was clean.
Then i looked at the fuel line which seem to be fine as well.
after having everything put back together started ehr up again worked.
I tried driving her around the block but she stopped not 100yards from my house.
The things i figured out are that as soon as the car runs a little hotter than usual it stops.
Also i checked the spark plugs and they are dry after the car stalls. However the fuel pump works.
Then i tried to test the spark plug after having the car run warm for a while and there was no spark.

I know this is a lot to read and I'm sorry that most of what i wrote is unorganised.
But thank you for your patience.

if the jeep boogs out you might try the idle air control valve or the throttle positiong sensor
