Hi guys,
I've got a 1988 xj with the closed system. The previous owner converted it to an open but used plumbing fixtures and mix matched parts and it's just all torn up and leaks. I'm going to put the plastic tank back in and use the inline Moroso pressure Hose filler. I'm going to replace all of the hoses but everything is so screwed up its hard to tell how to place all of the hoses correctly. Is anyone willing to take some pics to help me out? I need to know where the hoses run from the thermostat, to the T's and into the firewall and resevoir.
Any help would be appreciated.

just hook heater core direct and buy after market over flow bottle mount on fire wall where old bottle sat ...done....
I did the conversion on my 1990 renix. I used bulk hose and a copper reducer from the heater core. You can use factory hose from a 1991 @ newer xj....but it's spendy. I used a heater control valve from a 91 & newer. The bottle is from a blazer...custom mounts. The rad is from a 99 xj. Sorry, I tried to upload pics but it won't let me. Do a search. There is a ton of info out there on it. Good luck.

Yep, like free said, just run heater hoses direct to the heater core nipples. That's what the factory did on '97 up XJs. Eliminating the HCV really cleans things up. The big heater hose is 3/4" and the small one is 5/8".
