Default 1988 cherokee open system conversion

I read in alot of places that converting the closed system to open will prevent a ton of problems. I have replaced 3 bottles, the radiator, 2 thermostats, the water pump and almost every hose that has to do the cooling system. I was wondering how much the conversion would cost me and if its worth it also would I be able to do it myself with not alot of car repair knowledge.

Thank You,
Eric
