Im looking at a jeep and it has a auto and a 2.8l v6... the engine is knocking at 66,000 miles and a near mint condition on everything else, ive been told the engine was a poor design and not worth rebuilding any ideas on what the jeep is worth? and is it a bad engine to start out with?

 

since the engine is GM would a vortec v6 bolt up?

 

I THINK that I read the GM 3.1L is the engine to swap. I recall back in the day the 2.8s would sometimes drown themselves with fuel and wipe the bearings.
