what do you guys think about putting one of these in a cherokee in the rear.. does anyone know if thats stronger then the d35???

haha yeah thats why i want it out.. i want a d44 but this is free its out at my camp and im going to go get it tomorrow and see what i can do

ok so...
youre gonna be running two (very) different width axles, with (probably) two different gear ratios, and two different bolt pattens.

Whats there to try.. Chevy axle is about 6" wider, alos has 6 x5.5 bolt pattern. More then likely the gears are 307

I understand that you got a free axle. But if you have to buy one to match the front why not get a Ford 8.8 that has disk brakes? YOu are still only buying one axle and some of the 8.8 come with the same gears that are in your rearend now. Much easier and more practicle.
