1/8 in. distributor shaft play 1998 XJ

1/8 in. distributor shaft play 1998 XJ
So I thought I needed to replace the gasket under the distributor, and when I went to take the distributor out I noticed the oil was coming out of the weep hole on the bottom of it.. Has anyone else had this problem with a 4.0?? I am about to replace the motor with another used one anyways, because of lifters are hammering, and I have 4lbs of oil pressure at 70mph
