04 4.0 6cyl ticking noise.

04 4.0 6cyl ticking noise.
Hello, i have an 04 jeep cherokee 6cyl with a really bad ticking noise. I've heard that these jeep models are common for getting this cyl head ticking noise. Is there any way to solve this problem without rebuilding the heads? Thanks!

Engine: 4.0 with all of the noise and clatter
Engines do make noise when they're running. If it's not a knocking sound and the engine is running smooth, just drive it and be happy. The 4.0 is a great engine, noises and all. If you see no smoke, see no drops of oil, and see no drops of coolant, you'll be fine.
