Please help! Have no idea what is wrong!

I have an 01 Xj, automatic and recently it started acting up out of nowhere.

Was driving normally one day and suddenly it started jerking, and what seems like it was loosing power, all dials fall. There are surges like that and sometimes it stalls on idle. Flooring the gas pedal more sometimes helps, but not always.

Not sure what this can be! Fuel pump? Some kind of sensor?

Any help would be much appreciated!

What codes are being thrown? Describe the maintainance history in great detail - what is the last thing that was repaired, fooled-with or altered?

 

I have an '01 too and mine does the same thing. Did you ever figure out what was wrong? I've been searching for weeks.
